FOTJ works daily with Government Agencies and City Officials for our residents and business.

  • Advocate for residents and businesses 
  • Clean up graffiti on walls, signs, buildings, and private property. 
  • Purchase and placement of security cameras
  • Posted custom Neighborhood Watch Signs
  • Speed Humps on Trolleyway
  • Extra street lighting 
  • Added solar lighting to breeze ways (Montreal, Fowling, Rees, Sunridge)
  • Repaired lighting at bus stop on Culver for nighttime safety
  • Resurfaced Trolleyway, Surf St and Trolley Place
  • Added Crosswalk marking
  • Repair of potholes on Culver Blvd and Jungle streets
  • Added License Plate Reader Camera in the Jungle
  • Added Stop Sign at Trolleyway and Culver
  • Created a greater police presence in PDR
  • Help Homeless persons in need
  • Assist with homeless transport to medical facility. 
  • Cleared RV encampments on Jefferson, alongside Ballona Wetlands
  • Discourage illegal beach encampments
  • Host the annual Jungle Clean Up since 2016
  • Maintain beach volleyball courts and boundary lines
  • Added 20 parking spaces for residents & businesses (alongside Vista Del Mar)
  • Had storm drains cleared of sand and debris to prevent flooding
  • Partnered with County for securing the Interceptor to remove ocean trash
  • Facilitate prompt removal of shipwrecks on beach
  • Promote local businesses
  • Created Safety Business (group) text chain
  • Report and facilitate street repairs needed in business district 
  • Social Media informative space (Facebook and Instagram)
  • Facilitated correct placement of trash dumpsters moved by Athens Sanitation
  • Represent neighbors and business owners at City Council meetings and Government Official meetings.
  • Formed a team to extinguish fires when our Fire Department was deployed else where.
  • Spearheading efforts to clear brush and prevent fires in Ballona Wetlands.
